Year in Review
As a student I have evolved immensely. I no longer procrastinate til the last minute. I have learned to do enjoy doing home work early and having some downtime instead of stressing last minute. i also rely on others as apposed to doing the entire thing myself. In other words i have learned to work as a team. I have also learned to go see the professors when needed. It is not acceptable to expect to be taught everything.
I have become a more social person. hanging out with friends and going to events instead of staying coped up in my room for the entire day.

Academic achievement
A graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA
passing my classes and getting accepted into the me major. Higher goal is getting a 3.5 and getting into the BM/ME and graduating with a masters in 6-7 years.
obstacle: getting help when I need it. Often times I just say ill be fine and ill get through like I always have but this is college and its not going to be that simple.
the math and stats learning center and Yunkin’s success center. getting tutored especially for math.
Original inquiry
Made an original design page turner for a girl with muscular dystrophy. was the head mechanical lead for that projects and did most of the assembly and troubleshooting, as well as designing in the early stages of the project.
Help Design something that makes an impact on people. Or design something for myself. a small kinetic sculpture perhaps. just build something to take my mind off of school.
My shyness and lack of confidence to take a risk. i should trust my gut and trust that i have the ability to make something new in this world.
Advising offices are a great place where i could get advise onn where to start. making a team and getting funding ect.
Career
Career goal: mechanical engineering
through this year, i have gained many skills some of them include:
Fluency in excel
experience with mat lab,
soldering experience,
Experience in creating professional documents for reports
working through this semester at menards has given me customer service experience. as well as a good work ethic and an understanding of how large companies operate.
I am above average in computer usage, can build a computer from scratch if given the parts. i am proficient of diagnosing problems with computers and improving performance.
Artifacts
- bowling : being a part of a bigger group on campus practice every week as well as the occasional fundraiser
- end of the year project for 1181.02: It was a lot of work researching, building the power-point, and practicing the actual presentation.
- toy adaptation: This activity was very rewarding as i used my inner engineer to help others. This was one of my favorite service opportunities
- grad program: If i can keep a 3.5 GPA I would love to graduate with a masters in 6 years. that would save a lot of money in tuition.
About Me
Hello world, my name is Lukas and I am a proud buc
keye. Both my parents are alumni of OSU and actually meet each other here. both my uncles on my dads side are alumni and about 5 cousins too. i consider myself to be a nearly pure bread buckeye. i graduated from St. Francis DeSales high school here in Columbus. I am excited to study engineering as i love working with my hands and designing new things. For this reason i am also interested in research as it will bring the opportunity to discover new and exciting things.
