The higher up dealers then move smaller quantities of the product to local dealers who then break up their share and sell much smaller portions to individual consumers. Cutting often plays a role in this part of the distribution process as well.

 

 Social/Economic

Cocaine, and drugs in general, have impacted countries’ economy greatly. Government and law enforcement agencies spend billions of dollars every year to combat the drug problem. It is estimated the over 25.2 billion dollars is spent each year  on the war on drugs in the U.S.  (National) This money goes toward busting the local dealers to stop the selling of cocaine. Money is also spent on rehabilitation services for addicts.
