The coca plant is harvested in high altitudes of Andes Mountains => cocaine is manufactured and produced in small laboratories in the same locations => the drug is transported into the U.S. through Mexico by smugglers hired by drug cartel => the drug is brought to high end dealers in the states => the dealers sell to smaller, local dealers => the drug is sold to and used by individuals.
