About Me

Hi, I’m Katrina and I am in the Humanitarian Engineering Scholars Program. I love volunteering and giving back to the community because it betters myself as well as others around me. I have always enjoyed math and science, which pointed me towards the major of biological engineering. I also have a passion for building things in the wood shop, seeing as I was in set building throughout my time in High School, as well as Improv Troupe which gave me a love for performing. I am from a town outside of Boston, Massachusetts, so I have a lot of Boston pride.

My top five strengths are…

  1. Empathy
  2. Includer
  3. Positivity
  4. Developer
  5. Communication

My top four strengths are in the relationship building category, which is really who I am. I used to be very shy as a child, but since then I have talked to people and never stopped. I love being able to help people and the one way I have always been able to do so is by talking to them. I am very good at reading emotions and very good at feeling what other people are feeling, which makes it easier to help people going through difficult times. I’m excited to see how I can develop these strengths even more through Humanitarian Engineering.
