About Me

I am at Ohio State not just to get an education, but to have an enriching experience overall, through friendships, opportunities, and specialized experience towards my major and future career. In high school, I developed a deep interest in health and fitness. Playing lacrosse, I got more interested in how different food and activities impacted my body. At Ohio State, I have taken a human nutrition class that discusses how different inputs and deficiencies impact the body. Through this class, I have been able to reflect what I have learned into my daily life; what I eat and the my activeness. I have looked into a minor in this area, but am unsure if I will pursue it, because there are so many things that I want to do academically that I am weighing. Regardless, I intend on taking more classes like this to learn more and get more engaged. However, this is not the only area of interest I have. Academically, I am interested in business. While I am undecided on exactly what path I want to pursue within the college of business, the general major interests me; I am simply weighing each of the specializations. Personally, I would describe my academic goals as rigorous. I have always had high expectations for myself. While I have minimum GPA requirements for the honors program and my scholarship, I prefer not to settle for the minimum, I do as well as I possibly can, making my goal near perfection, knowing that I will fail but will do better than the minimum expectations set for myself. As I am undecided in my specialization, I am still unsure of what exact career I will pursue after college, but I want to do something enriching that I enjoy and that helps other people, because I’ve become increasingly more interested in philanthropy over the years. Over the years, my different work experiences have each had impacts on me. Working at a pharmacy, I was able to help those who were sick and make personal connections with patients. At Raising Cane’s, I worked in a much more fast paced environment and learned better work ethic and how to work under stress. I am confident I will learn more skills like these at Ohio State, and I will be able to utilize them in my future career.
