My name is Anna Gardner and I am a second year student at The Ohio State University majoring in Social Work and minoring in Spanish and Health & Society. I am apart of the College of Social Work’s 4+1 BSSW/MSW Program, and in the future, I want to work as either a Medical or Mental Health and Substance Abuse Social Worker. At OSU, I participate in Advocates for Communities and Education Scholars (ACES), club tennis, Mental Health Matters, and Alpha Phi Omega.
I grew up in Powell, OH with my mother, my father, my younger brother, and my younger sister. Throughout high school I loved to play tennis and soccer, attend youth group, and volunteer around my community which ultimately led me to choosing Social Work as my future career. Since I grew up around Ohio State, it was an easy decision to come to school here, and I am excited not only for my future as a Buckeye, but also for my future as a Social Worker.
