Hello there! Thank you for visiting my page about leadership in social work. Leadership is a broad topic and it seems like everybody has a different definition. What I hope to do with this page is to share some of my thoughts on what social work leadership is to me, what I believe the importance of strong leadership is in clinical practice, and provide some reflection on what I have learned about the topic so far in my graduate career. The tabs at the top will lead you to each section. Before you look at them, though, I encourage you to watch this short video. It is bestselling author, social worker and researcher Dr. Brene Brown speaking on her book Dare to Lead about the importance of vulnerability and courage in leadership. This is something I will touch on again, but it is a great frame of reference for the remainder of the site.
