Primary Means of Communication and Expectations

 

All members will be expected to check the group text messages and respond within 2- 6 hours.

All members will be expected to check emails from other group members and respond within 12 hours.

All members will be expected to communicate verbally during class time.

 

Scheduling of Meetings

 

Team will agree by group text messaging to set up and schedule meeting times. Upon confirmation from the majority of the team members, a reminder will be sent out on the group text messaging. The process is arbitrarily, as group members may be called up for a meeting the day that it is voted in.

General Responsibilities for all Team Members

  1. Contribute to their roles for the design project. Divide work fairly and equally.
  2. Be on time for meetings, notify the team if they are late.
  3. Stay on task during meetings.
  4. Set deadlines for work to be completed.
  5. Stay on schedule and submit their work by set deadlines.
  6. Discuss and report any problems.
  7. Ensure that all teammates communicate effectively with each other.
  8. Ensure that other group members understand what the other team members are doing.
  9. Ensure that all group members upload their respective portions to the blog.

 

Specific Team Member Responsibilities

 

  1. Garrett Snyder will be responsible for creating and editing the code for the simple games.
  2. Matthew Xu, Norman Guo, and Cole Helbig will be responsible for creating and editing the code for the complex game: Battleship.
  3. Cole Helbig will be responsible for directing the Software Design video.
  4. Norman Guo will be responsible for shooting and editing the Software Design video.
  5. All members of the team will be expected to upload or post their respective portions to the website

 

Conflict Resolution

 

  1. Discuss problems arising within the group chat. Make sure all parties can equally represent themselves and describe their reasons of conflict. Neutral group members will discuss and evaluate the case.  
  2. Hold a discussion with a professor or a UTA, or a neutral third-party to resolve the problem.
  3. If Steps 1,2 fail, consult a professor to make a decision.

 

Expectations of Faculty and GTA’s

 

If a team member, or members of the team fail to live up to the agreement, the situation is reported to the faculty and GTAs. However, the team is still expected to complete the project in spite of any problems. Staff will be readily available to assist with the team’s problems.
