Module 7: Maintaining Motivation

Are you ever working on something so big or a lengthy project that you just don’t know where to start? Or maybe you start without a clear direction/focus? There are a few apps provided in this week’s module that can help you monitor your productivity and use that progress to motivate yourself (Slide 16)! I chose to try and implement one of these and really saw the most results with Focus Keeper.

You can install the app here…

IOS Devices: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/focus-keeper-time-management/id867374917

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.pixo.apps.focuskeeper&hl=en_US&gl=US

I found this the most useful because in my experience as a college student, maintaining high focused work is difficult with the workload we have. This app really kept me aware of my goal to complete the work in a timely manner. There are planned breaks so you can clear distractions and maximize your session time. This can be a useful app no matter what kind of work you have to do!

So, do you want to become trained to know your productivity? and maximize your high focused work? Try out some of the resources from this week’s lesson on Maintaining Motivation.

College students know that a close holiday season is also a close finals season… 🙁 . I have already begun my study schedule and trying to allocate enough time prepping for each class, subject, etc. That can be a lot to juggle especially if you have outside commitments like work and campus life. So, now operating on a virtual structure, it is in our best interest to utilize resources like these that are right on our phones, in our pockets, and at our fingertips. Try it out and see how much more intentional and effective your performance becomes!
