The American Association of Neurological Surgeons site gives an introduction and explains what a concussion is, the symptoms that follow it, and treatment. The author discusses, like concussions, mild injuries to the brain may not be observable in routine neurological examinations. Therefore, diagnosis is based on the nature of the incident and the presence of specific symptoms, confusion being a primary one.

This website is an explanation of how “Female Athletes Are Closing The Gender Gap When It Comes To Concussions”. It talks about a study done on mice with severe brain injuries. Researches says the brains of male mice showed a massive immune response within a day, but the female response was much slower — up to seven days.

This website talks a little about concussions, but what I really liked about this site, was that it provided a link to concussion clinics. After suffering a concussion, you should find a doctor. Concussion Clinics is a free online tool provided by the Concussion Legacy Foundation that is designed to connect you with local medical providers and clinics that treat concussions!

This photo is of the book “Concussion”, the book is based on a true story how Mike Webster ended up living out of his van, tasering himself to relieve pain, and fixing his rotting teeth with Super Glue. Dr. Bennet Omalu discovered in Mike Webster’s brain proof that Mike’s mental deterioration was no accident, but a disease caused by multiple blows to the head that could affect everyone playing the game.

This YouTube video is about concussions and the brain. It explains how the brain can shift in a injury to it was to occur.
