Blog for Module 2

In this week’s module, the most useful and surprising thing I learned is about online communication skills. Based on the video from Adam Neumann, the CEO of WeWork, he says that online communication is just like face to face communication. It is just bringing together physical and digital communication. In the past, I thought online communication is less efficient since people cannot see the facial expression and feel the emotion among each other. This video impressed me and I will pay more attention to online communication and try to improve my online communication skills by assuming it is an in-person conversation.
As for the email communication skills mentioned in module 2, I am very confident about that since it is something that I have already put it into effect. In one of the business administration classes that I took in my freshman year, the class material went over how to email properly to professors. I learned these skills and applied them to use since then. An additional tip I want to share besides all good tips mentioned in the modules is that be concise when you write to your professor or peer classmates. It is super annoying to read long trivial emails. Long emails are less efficient and someone may even reply TLDR which stands for “too long didn’t read”.
