Semester in Review

My first semester of college has been full of adjustments. To be completely honest, the beginning was super tough and I was definitely put through the ringer between school work and training for track. I have learned so much in just the few short months of college. I have not only learned in class but I have also learned more about who I am and want from this experience. So far this semester has been filled with ups and downs, but I do believe that I’m finally getting the hang of things, at least I think.

G is for Global Awareness

O is for Original Inquiry

A is for Academic Enrichment

L is for Leadership Development

S is for Service Engagement

I hope to become involved in study abroad (global awareness) e=and possible to a service trip as and alternate break option. I also hope to participate in different volunteer opportunities across campus (service engagement) in order to help the community.

picture-of-discus

I am currently a member of The Ohio State track&field team. I choose this picture because I throw discus along with weight/hammer for the team. Sports are a huge passion of mine and competing collegiately has always been my goal. Another goal of mine has been to attend The Ohio State University. It is a combination of these two goals that have lead me to be where I am today.

About Me

I am a first-year student from Woodsfield, OH, majoring in Biology. I plan on attending medical school after finishing my undergraduate work at Ohio State. I am a Biology Scholar, Morrill Scholar, and also on the track team. When not in class I enjoy playing sports, reading, and being with my family and friends.
