Introduction

Hey!

My Name is Adam Frierson. I am currently a Second-Year student at The Ohio State University! I was originally born in the suburbs of Cincinnati, in a small town called Forest Park, Ohio, but when I was about two years old, my dad’s job relocated my family to the suburbs of Atlanta, Ga and I’ve lived in a town by the name of Roswell since then.  I am currently majoring in City/Regional Planning with minors in Architecture and in Business. I took the class, CRPLAN 2110, in part because it was a mandatory class that I needed for my major, but also because I wanted to further my knowledge about the structures of a city and what all goes into making a city become one of the greats. I have travelled to many different cities throughout the country, mainly in the southeast region of the United States, and I find that it is really difficult to choose solely one city that I would designate as my favorite. If I had to make a quick mini list of cities to narrow the list down it would have to be between Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta, Cincinnati and Miami as those are all some of the great cities I’ve recently visited.  Each city does have its own unique aspect to it but if I had to pick a favorite, I’ll probably go with the hometown city, Atlanta. Atlanta is a great city and it is also a very large city. There are many great aspects of the city such as its culture, it’s music, and it’s food. Atlanta is a very historic city as it played a big role in the Civil War and also Atlanta is a very diverse city with massive numbers of people from all around the world also with people of all different backgrounds. Atlanta is a city of much opportunity as there are many headquarters located in the downtown metropolitan area as well as the surrounding suburbs. In Atlanta you can find the headquarters of big companies such as; Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola, Waffle House, and plenty others. Atlanta is also very big in the film industry as there are more and more movies and tv shows that are filmed in Atlanta and the surrounding areas every year. I also love Atlanta because of its beautiful downtown layout. Its always a great sight to see whenever you drive through the city, especially at night, on the highway and gaze upon the buildings and structures. One more reason to love the city of Atlanta is because of its great sports venues too. In Atlanta, the big three sporting venues, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena and Truist Park, have all either been recently constructed or redone in the past five years, giving the city a new or refreshed look to some of the best sports venues in the country. There are many other things to love about the city and I definitely may have just spent the last thirty minutes of my time fascinating over the city of Atlanta, but overall it is a great city and I would recommend everyone who hasn’t already to take a trip down south to visit the city. Well this may have been a long introduction and if you are still reading at this point I applaud you for making it this far in my thoughts for the day. I hope all is well and you have a great rest of the day.
