Soccer – Soccer has always been a very important aspect in my life. Whenever I was stressed I could release stress by going out and practicing new moves or any kind of activity really. As long as it was related to soccer time would pass by ever so quickly and I would not even be tired of playing. As I get older and realize I won’t be able to play the game I learned to love I am discovering something else I want to do: coaching. I plan on getting a coaching license so that way I can coach at the club and high school level.

About Me

I am from Sidney, Ohio. It is roughly 50 minutes north of Dayton, Ohio and in Shelby County. Ever since 3rd grade I have been playing club soccer. Growing up I believed I had a passion for math. But then coming to college I realized I have more of a passion for algebra based math and it was through engineering that helped me come to this conclusion. So after undeclaring a civil engineer major I have decided I am going to pursue a major in Secondary Education. I enjoy working with youth and this would combine the passion for algebra based math. Putting academics to the side I have one sister who is 8 years old and in 3rd grade. Also I have two cats at home, named Precious and Tiger. I am very excited to start pursuing what I am passionate about.

From the StrengthsFinder Assessment website I found out about my top 5 strengths. They are:

  1. Includer- People who are especially talented in the Includer theme are accepting of others. They show awareness of those who feel left out, and make an effort to include them. I can connect to this because I always try my best to include my friends and introduce them to other friends.
  2. Harmony- People who are especially talented in the Harmony theme look for consensus. They don’t enjoy conflict; rather, they seek areas of agreement. I can connect to this because I always try to compromise to accommodate for everyone’s best interest.
  3. Relator- People who are especially talented in the Relator theme enjoy close relationships with others. They find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal. I can connect to this because I don’t have many friends but the friends I do have are very close friends.
  4. Restorative- People who are especially talented in the Restorative theme are adept at dealing with problems. They are good at figuring out what is wrong and resolving it. I can connect to this because whenever I find myself in a conflict it usually is resolved relatively soon.
  5. Analytical- People who are especially talented in the Analytical theme search for reasons and causes. They have the ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation. I can connect to this because I always find myself thoroughly thinking about the possible outcomes before making a decision.
