The fries arrive to the restaurant partially frozen and packaged from when they were manufactured. They are then unpackaged and thrown into the fryer in order to fully cook them. They are cooked in a canola oil blend, making them trans fat free. Once they are fully cooked, they come out golden on the outside and soft/fluffy on the inside. They are salted and then put in the cardboard/paper to be served to the customer.
McDonald’s has a positive social impact on the world. They value education, starting programs to help their employees get their high school diploma and giving employees chances to earn college credit while on the job. They also provide college scholarships and tuition reimbursement to help encourage education for their employees. They are very diverse in the fact that “over three-fourths of their managers in company-owned restaurants are women or people of color.”(mcdonalds.com) They have a commitment that they are close to reaching in which they will hire 100,000 veterans by the end of 2015. They provide training for employees in order to keep up with organization and efficiency within their restaurants. They desire to develop leaders, foster talent and leverage life-long learning for their employees. They provide their workers with benefits that will help them accomplish great things in the world. McDonald’s truly shows that they care about their workers and want them to accomplish whatever they set their minds to.
