My life is a lot more complicated than you may think. I go through six activities throughout my lifetime. These activities start with extracting raw materials then go to manufacturing, then transportation, purchasing, delivering consumption and eventually ending in disposal or potentially recycling. We call this process the “Commodity Chain” and I am the commodity. I personally feel that I am the best tasting commodity.

Great analysis of commodity chains! I’ve been applying similar concepts to track my personal productivity through six daily activities.

Their system helps visualize your personal commodity chain from resource extraction to disposal,
just like the industrial processes described here.

Your explanation of the commodity chain really resonated with me. Thinking about my life as a series of activities—from raw materials to disposal—I realized that time is the ultimate thread connecting everything. Keeping track of time helps me see how each stage flows into the next. If you live in Japan and want to check time online, it is a very handy reference
