Dr. Elinam Dellor, PhD
Elinam Dellor is a Senior Researcher and Program Director of the Enhancing Permanency in Children and Families (EPIC) program. Dr. Dellor conducts research on the short and long-term consequences of child abuse and neglect. A key area of interest is the effect of early life trauma on adult behavior and health. Her expertise is in trauma-related physiologic processes as mediating pathways to adult chronic health conditions. Her research focuses on the feasibility of collecting chronic stress biomarkers among child welfare involved families and caregivers with a focus on HPA-axis (hair for cortisol) and immune system (dried blood spots for C-reactive protein) activity. She also studies the use of internet technology in linking vulnerable families to social, behavioral and health services.

Christy Kranich, MSW
Christy Kranich currently works as a Research Associate and Research Project Manager. She assists the Associate Dean for Research with data management and analysis, geocoding and map development, dashboard development, project coordination, and manuscript preparation. She has experience with Stata, ArcGIS, and Tableau. She has been at the College of Social Work since 2014, working first as a Field Education Coordinator.
Before coming to the College of Social Work, Christy spent over a decade designing and implementing state-wide human service information technology systems including child welfare (SACWIS), subsidized child care, and child support enforcement systems. She also has experience in non-profit sector with grant-writing, program design, and program management having developed an onsite mentoring program for school-aged youth that is still operating in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus. Christy is a licensed social worker in the State of Ohio.

Katherine (Kathy) Renick, MS, CRA
Kathy is a Research Specialist, joining the Freisthler Research Group in August 2019. In this role, she provides day-to-day coordination of research across the team’s portfolio of projects. Kathy has been at Ohio State for about 15 years. She comes to this position from the OSU Office of Research, where she was a Proposal Development Specialist supporting large, complex grant submissions such as Ohio’s proposal to address the opioid crisis through the HEALing Communities Study. Before that, she was the Director of Research Administrative Services for the College of Public Health, and also managed several large epidemiologic studies. She earned her MS in Public Health at The Ohio State University, where her thesis focused on comparing hearing loss among youth who live on family farms to the general population. Kathy has a BS in Biology and Chemistry from Virginia Tech.

Ian is a Research Associate in the College of Social Work and is involved with various projects within the lab. His background lies in child development, health promotion, and community engagement. He also has experience in observation of parent-child interactions. In addition to his work in the Freisthler Research Group, Ian is the Research Coordinator for Age-Friendly Columbus and Franklin County, where he coordinates research and evaluation efforts among Franklin County’s older adult population. He has a Master of Public Health in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh.
