Welcome to Food for a Long Life!

Food for a Long Life is a community-based intergenerational project operating in Ohio and Virginia and funded by a $1.2 million five-year grant from the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture through the Children, Youth and Families at Risk program.  Partners are using a participatory action research approach with intergenerational strategies to increase healthy food access, consumption and education for young children and their families attending Columbus Early Learning Centers on the Near East Side of Columbus, Ohio, Rivermont Baptist Early Learning Center and White Rock Head Start Center in Lynchburg, Virginia.
