Facts about CBPAR

We use a CBPAR model with IG strategies to increase healthy food access of young children attending the project sites.   CBPAR approaches have the long-term benefit of achieving sustainable systemic change in a community.  Specifically, the approach is warranted when: (a) local problems are complex; (b) there are no existing solutions that can be easily employed; (c) community members have unique experience with the problem; (d) solutions are dependent on community engagement; and (e) problem-solving requires successive iterations.
