I went to Michigan State University with Kate to see Neil Shubin, the renowned paleontologist credited for discovering Tiktaalik, the evolutionary bridge between sea animals and land animals. He gave personal insight into the expedition and process of discovering Tiktaalik, and I walked away from his talk inspired.
