Arrival

The Ohio State University is conveniently located near John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), and we will provide transportation from the airport to your hotel upon arrival (no cost to you).

We suggest you arrive between 11 AM and 6 PM on Tuesday, July 30th, and you may check into the hotel beginning at 3 PM.

Please fill out the arrival survey with your specific flight number and arrival time when your ticket is purchased. Details on your shuttle will be provided at least one week in advance of your arrival.

Brandon Aigner is your point of contact on the 30th. His email is aigner.5@osu.edu and his phone number will be shared with you via email ahead of your arrival.

In case of late arrival: Please keep Brandon up to date with any changes to your itinerary. If you arrive after the shuttle service has concluded, you can take an Uber or Lyft to the hotel (address listed below). You may want to download the one of the apps ahead of your arrival.


Travel Information

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have established strict rules about entry to and travel within the United States. As a result, you are strongly encouraged to visit the following sites in order to keep up to date on the latest rules and regulations regarding travel and luggage restrictions.

Departure

You should arrange your departure from the orientation program for August 3, 2019. Hotel check out will be no later than 11 AM. Transportation to John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) will be provided for the group that day via chartered bus (at no cost to you) between 5 AM to 10 AM. We will have shuttles departing the hotel at 5 AM and 45 minute intervals after that. You should arrange to be on a shuttle that arrives with enough time to get checked into the airport and through security (approximately 2 hours before your scheduled flight).


Notes

Fulbright is covering your travel costs as part of your travel grant. You will receive an email detailing how to go about making your travel arrangements. It is of utmost importance that your travel arrangements not only include transportation to this program, but also to your host institution and be made prior to your departure from your home country.

NOTE: If this orientation program ends before your expected arrival date at your host institution, you can either travel within the United States, arriving at your host institution by the expected start date, or you can contact your supervisor to request an early arrival date. If your host institution cannot accommodate an early arrival you will be responsible for your own arrangements.

If this orientation program ends after your expected arrival date, contact your supervisor to request a later arrival date.
