Adding Automated Transcription to a Mediasite Recording (EdTech Connect: September 2022)

You can now add automated transcription to your Mediasite Presentations. We encourage you to do this to both help students and to also comply with federal guidelines.

Below are the steps to add transcripts to an already existing Mediasite presentation.

Access your presentation via the Mediasite portal (

Then select Edit Details

Then select Delivery under the image of your video

On the next screen, scroll down and select
1. Audio Transcriptions
2. Choose a Provider for Captioning
3. Then click on Select a Captioning Profile

On the pop-up window select Automated Transcription.

Finally, remember to click on the Save button in the lower right corner.
