Schiphol Airport → Nijmegen Railway Station
Finding the Station: The railway station at Schiphol Airport is situated below Schiphol Plaza, the central hall of the terminal. You’ll also find NS (Dutch Railway) ticket windows in Schiphol Plaza.
- Direct Option: Occasionally, NS runs direct trains from Schiphol to Nijmegen. If available, board this train—its final destination is Nijmegen. The entire trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Route Option 1: Via Utrecht

- From Schiphol, take a train to Utrecht Centraal, heading towards Maastricht or Venlo.
- At Utrecht, transfer to a train bound for Nijmegen. Most of the time, the transfer is on the same platform.
- The entire trip takes about 1.5 hours.
- Route Option 2: Via Duivendrecht

- Take a train from Schiphol to Duivendrecht. Look for trains heading to Amersfoort, Hilversum, Weesp, or Groningen—they stop at Duivendrecht.
- At Duivendrecht, go upstairs to platform 8 to catch a train to Nijmegen. Direct trains run every 30 minutes.
- The entire trip takes about 2 hours.
- Route Option 3: If you plan to spend some time in Amsterdam, you can choose either the Direct Option or take the train to Utrecht (Route Option 1) from Amsterdam Central Station

Nijmegen Railway Station/Recommended Hotels → Radboud University – Maria Montessori Building
- From Oranjestaete or Rebyl Hotels:
- Both are close to the bus stop “Nijmegen, Centrum Oost”;
- Take the “Breng Bus 58” (SB58) to “Nijmegen Heyendaal via Centrum Zuid”;
- Get off at the Erasmusgebouw bus stop, then walk about 4 minutes to reach Radboud Center for Social Sciences (Radboud Centrum Sociale Wetenschappen) in the Maria Montessori building (Maria Montessorigebouw).
- From Mercure Hotel or Rail Station:

- You have several bus options: lines “14”, “15”, or the “Breng Bus 58” (SB58); Note: Line “10” is unlikely to be available during summer holidays;
- Get off at the bus stop of Erasmusgebouw or Spinozagebouw, then walk about 4 minutes to reach the Maria Montessori building.
Purchase your public transport ticket or e-ticket ahead of time. If not, acceptable payment methods in the bus include your contactless debit card, credit card, or mobile device. Remember to check in and out for each trip. Note that you cannot check in multiple people simultaneously with a single card.

Nijmegen → Copenhagen (for Academy of Management meetings)
Unfortunately, there was not sufficient demand to charter a direct bus connection between Nijmegen and Copenhagen. However, we have several recommendations to assist your travel between the two conferences.
- Flight Route 1: Eindhoven is among the nearest airports to Nijmegen, with daily tickets from Transavia starting at approximately €80. These tickets tend to sell out quickly. You can check train connections between Nijmegen and Eindhoven using the NS mobile app.
- Flight Route 2: Amsterdam Airport presents a wider range of flight options. Airlines such as easyJet and Norwegian operate direct flights, but a total of around 12 daily routes are available. Ticket prices typically start at approximately €150. You can access Amsterdam via the aforementioned direct route or through Utrecht or Duivendrecht.
- Bus Route: FlixBus offers different options lasting from 16 to 20 hours, with prices ranging from €70 to €90 per person. Typically, Flixbus departs from a location near Nijmegen Central Station.
- Train Route: There are several options available, but the quickest connections involve combining tickets from NS (Nijmegen → Arnhem → Duisburg) with Deutsche Bahn (Duisburg → Hamburg → Copenhagen). The total journey lasts approximately 10 hours, with starting fares around €60.
