About Me

Hi, my name is Blake Fischer. I am from Chesterfield, MO which a suburb of St. Louis. I went to Marquette High School and had a graduating class of almost 600 people. I played football for all 4 years in high school and was captain of my team Senior year. I also wrestled for 4 years and played volleyball for 2 years. I was the Class President and involved in student government. I also taught an 8th grade bible study for 2 years at St. John Church. I was also active in Boy Scouts and am an Eagle Scout. I also was part of National Honor Society and a math tutoring organization called Mu Alpha Theta. I am studying Finance and am apart of the Fisher College of Business. I am also Pre-Med and taking science classes. I want to either be a financial advisor or a podiatrist. I love to play sports in my free time and hang out with friends.

Artifacts

Artifact 1

My first artifact is my dog. It is very important to me because I got it during COVID. It was with me during one of the hardest times in my life and have a huge bond with it. I have also tried to go on runs more after we got my dog Scout.

Artifact 2

Another thing that I am proud of is my award I got Senior year. I got it from the Missouri Legislative Branch. I got that award because I embodied one of Missouri’s qualities that is in their constitution. I got it for Fraternity. I am very proud of it because they do not give this award out to many people.

Year in Review

This year has taught me many things. The first thing it has taught me is to never take anything for granted. After this pandemic, going to class is something that I am missing. I also have grown in my service ability over this past year. Volunteering for over 75+ hours has taught me that service is just as much helping you as it is helping other people. I would also seem to have more energy after I volunteered. The last thing that I learned is how much I love Ohio State. Leaving the campus abruptly last year made me miss the campus so much.

G.O.A.L.S.

Global awareness – I hope to study abroad in the future because I believe the best way to get to know others is by visiting other places.

Original inquiry- I hope to learn how to code using the app Python. I think that this will further my skills in the computer world.

Academic Enrichment- I hope to continue in good academic standing at The Ohio State University.

Leadership Development- I hope to lead a committee in my Fraternity to further my leadership skills.

Service Engagement- I hope to complete my 75 hours of service because I believe service is important.
