Year in Review

If I were asked to describe my year in two words, the first word would be rough. This year was filled with challenges. Entering into my business core classes was a transition that I needed lots of time to adjust to, which took a toll on my academic and mental health. I found myself being sucked into the competition of good grades, getting a summer internship, and keeping a solid social life. Along with that, my incredibly introverted personality was put to the test as a leader in one of the largest campus organizations known as Cru Ohio State. I have failed on multiple occasions, but with all of these struggles and failures has come tremendous growth. After several poor cover letters and interviews, I have been able to find businesses that I feel a great deal of passion towards, which shows in strong letters and enthusiastic interviews. I have been able to create relationships with businesses and employees that I truly want to contribute to. I have found ways to study effectively so that I am not struggling on exams. I have been able to build strong communities, despite the social anxiety I constantly deal with. Though the first word I would use to describe my year is rough, I also would use the word growth. For I have encountered a great deal of growth through all the struggles I have faced this year.
