About Me
I am majoring in animal science, non pre-vet track. My goal is to travel the world and research animals in their natural habitats. I also like the idea of being the new Steve Irwin. Animals have been a huge part of my entire life including the ten years I have been actively involved in 4-H. I have raised all poultry including market turkey, duck, chicken, and pig, as well as fancy duck, chicken, goose, and guinea pig. I also have experience with large animals like horses and ride competitively in my hometown, Newbury, Ohio. Throughout my high school career I made it my goal to be a part of as many clubs as possible and was involved in volleyball, cheerleading, track, marching and concert bands, National Honors Society, Key Club, Publications, Student Council, Spanish Club, Art Club, Drama Club, and Little Big Knights which was a peer mentoring program. I also enjoy learning new things and I have done many things outside of my comfort zone already such as trying out for and making the club team Buckeye Twirl after having only ever touched a baton the night before try-outs. While at The Ohio State University I plan on taking advantage of all the opportunities much like I have done in my past. I hope to be able to study abroad, preferably over seas and network as much as possible. I want to experience as many new things as I can while at Ohio State and I’m excited to see where the next four years takes me. Go Bucks!
