The main thing I learned during this learning process is how to stay focused. This is very important for our learning efficiency. Because, even if you make a very perfect study plan, when you are studying, you are constantly distracted and constantly disturbed by other external factors, your plan is very difficult to complete. During the learning process of this module, I got to know the apps that can help us correct this difficulty, such as Focus Keeper, Engross and so on. All of these software can help us stay focused.

I think what I have done in this study is to find a quiet place to study. This can effectively help us exclude some outside noisy sounds and avoid being disturbed by them. However, this can only solve some external problems, not your own problems. When I was studying, my phone would always pop up some links and pop-ups that tempted me, such as games and short videos, which would tempt me to give up my serious study and become unfocused.

So, I think what I have learned in this study and will use in the future is all kinds of practical apps. I want to live to share both. The first is the website blocking type of software. They can help you to organize the pop-up window to appear during the time you set, which can effectively help you solve the interference of the mobile phone to you. The second type of app records the number of distractions you have over a period of time, and when you use it multiple times, you can compare the data to see if you’re making progress. All of these software can help us stay focused.

Finally, some advice I would like to give my students is that we should use these software flexibly, they can help us stay focused, not be disturbed by other external factors, and form a good study habit. Because focus is not only good for your study life, but also for your future work life.

The most useful thing I learned in this chapter is how to take notes. Taking notes is very important whether it is offline learning or online learning. It can help you better understand what you have learned this time. When you want to review it later, you can also find it more easily and quickly. previous knowledge points. This chapter is about how to take notes in video learning, which is very useful. Because video learning generally progresses very quickly, once you miss a knowledge point, you may need to start all over again, which is a bit of a waste of time. And once you master a skilled note-taking method, these processes will become very easy.

In this study, I learned that the note-taking method that I will definitely use in the future is to use some symbols to represent logical sequences and special meanings. I think this method is very useful. When you are dictating, it is difficult for you to memorize all the content of the video word for word. This difficulty comes from some complex words. At this time, you need to use some special symbols to represent these words. Of course, you need to be familiar with the meanings of these symbols, so as not to forget them when reviewing in the future. This will speed up your note-taking. Another point is the use of symbols to represent logical relationships. This makes your notes more organized and logical. It can also make it easier for you to find what you are looking for faster in the future.

In the end, I would like to give my advice to my classmates that it is very important to take good notes, it is very helpful for our study. Using some special methods to help us take better notes also needs to be learned.

Module4: Web-Enhanced Reading and Study Strategies

What I learned in this class is how to read online articles more effectively. The biggest difference between online reading and physical reading is that we can take notes directly on the book in physical reading, but we cannot take notes in online reading. You know, taking notes is very important for us to understand the content of the article. In this class, I learned some ways to take notes and make some tables on the Internet to help me better understand the articles on the Internet.

What I learned in this class, and a skill I’ve used in my studies, is Mind Mapping by Bubbl. I think it’s very important for my other courses. Mind maps can help me better clarify my thoughts. For example, in some economic courses, you can record some economic concepts and their derived problems with a mind map. When reviewing in the future, you can clearly know the ideas of these formulas and their deduction process, which is very helpful to our study.

What I will use in the future is to also make annotations whenever I read online articles. This is very important for our understanding of the article. When I read a physical book, I can easily annotate next to it, but online, I have not developed such a habit. So I hope that in the future, I can also make annotations next to e-books.

After studying this course, what I would like to recommend to my students is to use various charts skillfully to help us understand the article and read more quickly and effectively. When you are proficient with these tools, you can learn how to take notes online. As I said before, taking good notes is very helpful for our reading, especially for us international students.

Module 3:Efficiency in the Digital Age

The most useful thing I learned in this module is an efficient way of time management. In my previous learning process, time management has always been a relatively weak piece for me, and I will encounter all kinds of problems. For example, inattentiveness, procrastination, etc. After I studied this module, I discovered many ways to improve time management, such as making a daily plan and dividing a large module into many smaller modules. Learning these methods can help me strengthen my time management and help me overcome some bad habits in this area.
What I’ve put into practice in this module is doing weekly and daily planning. In fact, this part is very similar to the time tracking we did before. The only difference between them is that planning is filling in the form with things that have not happened but you want to get done, time tracking is filling in the form with things that have happened or are happening. The same is for a form, so I think it’s still pretty easy for me to do. And what I need to put into practice is sticking to the plan I made, and that’s the most important part. Doing this well has helped me deal with my bad habit of procrastinating.
In this module, what I think I can put into practice in the future is to divide a large module into several small modules to complete. I think this strategy is very effective. I often put off an assignment because it takes too long and has too much content, which leads to rejection. However, if I divide it into several small assignments and complete one each day, not only will it not be excluded, but the homework can be completed efficiently. For example, final paper, a final paper is usually about 1500 words, very long, and has a lot of content. If you choose to write a paragraph every day, you’ll find that the workload isn’t as much. This strategy is also very effective in helping me solve the problem of procrastination.
Finally, I would like to give my advice to students that in terms of time management, we should adopt effective strategies to help us implement it more conveniently. We all encounter some problems and difficulties, but when you use effective methods, these difficulties will be solved.

The most useful thing I learned during this study was the note on emailing the professor. I think it’s very important to us that it’s about the impression the professor has of you, which as the video says, the first impression the professor has of you may be through your email. First of all, you must add Dear in your email, which is respect for the professor, and secondly, you must sign your name. The purpose is to make emails more formal, not like text chats. The most important point is that when replying to the professor’s email, you can no longer ask questions that the professor has already answered, which will greatly affect the professor’s impression of you.

When I finished learning this content, I was surprised to find that there is one content I have used in my study life and it is very effective. This is how to communicate with the lazy members of the group. The first point in the video–distribute the respective parts reasonably, I have used it in a previous class. In that class, we needed to work as a group to complete the homework, but one of our group members always liked to delay the time until the end, so everyone had to wait for him. After communication, it was found that he was not lazy, and he did not know how much content he needed to complete. After that, before each group assignment, we discussed which parts we were responsible for, and then got to work. This also makes us a lot more efficient.

I found a more important content in the learning process, and it is also what I need to give practice in the future, that is, pay attention to your words when communicating online. First, you can’t use all capital letters and abbreviations, like the U mentioned in the video. This will make you appear impolite. Second, don’t use some misleading words. These will help you win the goodwill of each other in online communication, and will help you in the future.

Finally, my advice to classmates is that we should learn how to email professors, which is something we all go through as college students. Secondly, it is also very important to communicate with classmates online. We should learn how to communicate with others in a friendly way.
