Project Proposal

The game ideas that you considered:

When team JD was deciding what game to create for the SDP, they came up with multiple ideas. Three of the possible game ideas brainstormed were Classic Pong, FEH Styled Pokemon, and a Platformer.

The criteria you used to evaluate the games:

The team devised three criteria to choose what game to pursue. The first criterion was replayability. Team JD wanted the audience of the game to WANT to spend more time playing the game with friends, so replayability was very important. The second criterion was complexity. The team wanted players to develop skill in the game being created, and see their gameplay improve as their skill improved as well. The last criterion the team chose was the game not being super intense. Team JD wanted anyone to be able to pick up the game and play, so the game not being super intense allows casual gameplay.

A potential audience for your game:

Team JD wanted the potential audience for the SDP to be people who want to enjoy fun and engaging games, and to also be college students in FEH. Team JD chose this to be the audience for the game because the team intended to make the characters in the game specific to students in FEH.

Your final game choice:

After going over the criteria that our team made for the game, Team JD decided to pursue the task of making the game FEH Pokemon Battles.

How the game creates value for the user and for society:

The game will foster social connectivity between peers. It will also provide entertainment for those who are stressed out from classes and need a good laugh. Lastly, the game will help the players learn basic turned-based game skills and tactical strategies.

The game elements you proposed to include:

The four game elements team JD chose to implement into the game were artistry, randomization, projectiles, and a multiplayer function.
