Hi, my name is Ali Fehlhaber and I am a second year student here at The Ohio State University and member of the Health Sciences Scholars. I am majoring in Health Sciences with a minor in Global Public Health, and intend to pursue a career as a Physician’s Assistant. Although I have no definite plans where I will attend PA school, my goal would be to attend one of the in-state institutions, preferably Ohio University or Marietta University. I attended high school at Westerville Central High School where I strengthened and sharpened many of my academic skills. Over the years, I believe I have excelled in the math and sciences and thus lead to my decision to pursue a career in the medical field. I was able to graduate high school in the top ten of my class and with an honors diploma. Coming into Ohio State I had over 30 credits from AP classes as well as transferable PSEO credit from a class taken at Otterbein University. Currently I devote my time to my studies, working, and volunteering. I balance my 18-hour coursework maintaining a 3.5 GPA, with a part-time job on the weekends working approximately 20 hours and volunteer once a week at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
