Cardboard!

This team loved using cardboard! It was cheap and effective.

At one point, the skid on the robot was made of cardboard, which actually worked better than the 3D printed skid. There were also many layers of cardboard holding up the QR code for RPS, as well as pieces holding the Proteus in place.

A lot of the cardboard came from the Taylor Tower trash room. The cardboard was recycled into the mock-up, as well as being used on the actual robot! The team always had spare cardboard in case it was needed.

The use of cardboard helped the team win second place in the Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Award, presented by Honda Research and Development (the team also got hats!).
