Group Members in Attendance: Devin Fogerty, Justin Krantz, Nick Kurtz, Steven Prexta
Date of Meeting: 02/07/18
Location of Meeting: in class
Planned Topics:
- Testing Steven’s electromagnet to pick up the wrench.
- Testing a mousepad’s ability to turn the fuel crank.
- Receiving and testing the proteus.
- Receiving and checking our toolkit.
- Discuss final combination of brainstormed ideas to implement on the robot.
Meeting Notes:
- The electromagnet was successful in picking up the wrench.
- The mouspad was able to generate enough friction to turn the fuel crank with minimal pressure successfully.
- The toolbag was complete upon reception; no items were missing.
- The proteus received did not have the correct number label matching the rest of the kit.
- The proteus was tested and everything worked successfully.
- Final (very rough) robot design was decided upon:
- Omni-wheel drivetrain
- Electro-magnet on a rod
- Mousepad that will rotate
- Light and line-following sensors
Plans until next Meeting:
- Write down personal schedules in order to incorporate into the design schedule.
- Gather materials for the mock-up robot.
