2/23/14-Testing Log

6 Tests were performed on this date

A new shaft encoding pin wheel was implemented and both motors were rewired due to flaws in original wiring.   The first test involved the optosensors and determining if they were able to read the new pin wheel that was created by painting on the pin wheel using white out.  The optosensors were able to clearly read the new pin wheel on each wheel.   The second test involved the newly wired motors and determine which direction was forward on the motors.  The third test involved both the optosensors and  the motors all attached to the robot to make sure the optosensors would read the pin wheels in a low light environment which both were able to.  The final three test involved loading the code from the last performance test and seeing if the robot would perform consistently all three times.  The robot did perform consistently, but the motor wire had a tendency to fall out so before each test the wires had to be checked before the test was performed.
