User Manual

Magic Tiles is a game similar to that of the Piano Tiles game which can be found on the app store. However this one comes loaded onto the Proteus!

The objective of the game is to get as many squares as you can before they touch the bottom.
Tap on the squares in order as they fall down the screen.

If a square hits the bottom of the screen you lose!

Magic Tiles opens up into the Main Menu which allows the user to play the game, view the instructions, view the high score, or quit the game. A picture of the main menu can be seen below

When the user initiates the play game function a tile will immediately start dropping from the top of the screen. If the user taps on the tile before it hits the bottom of the screen the tile will disappear and a new one will spawn. Tapping on a tile will also add 100 points to the score. As the user gets farther and farther into the game the speed at which the tiles drop will increase causing the difficulty of the game to increase as well. Blocks also spawn in at different colors to add a bit of randomness into the game. If one of the tiles does manage to make it to the bottom of the screen a new frame will display showing the game score and stating that the user lost. A diagram of both of these screens will be displayed below. These functions can also be seen within the gameplay video as well. To exit the lose screen and go back to the main menu simply tap on the screen again.

When the user initiates the instructions function the game will print some basic game instructions stating “The objective of the game is to get as many squares as you can before they touch the bottom”. A picture of the instructions screen can be seen below. To exit the instruction screen and go back to the main menu, simply tap the screen again.

When the user initiates the high score function the game will print the top 5 high scores ever since the Proteus had been turned on. An example of the title screen can be seen below. To exit the high score screen and go back to the main menu just, simply tap the screen again.

When the user taps on the title some credits are shown displaying the names of the almighty creators. An example of the credits screen can be seen below. To exit the credit screen and return to the main menu simply tap the screen again.

When the user taps on the quit screen the user is thanked for playing the game and prompted to turn off the proteus. There is no example of the quit screen since the almighty creators could not get it to work.
