Findings

Based on the completion of the Battery Testing and Propeller Configuration labs, Division P has discovered that the voltage of the battery decreases as subsequent runs are performed and that using one puller and one pusher propeller increases the efficiency of a run that requires movement in both directions. By using one pusher and one puller, the vehicle travels equally as fast in both directions, rather than moving faster in one direction than in the other.

The research from the Battery testing lab supports the first conclusion because the graph clearly shows how the voltage of the battery decreased as distance traveled increased and the number of runs increased. The graphs from the propeller configuration lab show that more distance was traveled in each direction using a pusher and puller propeller rather than two pushers or two pullers.

These findings will make our AEV more marketable as it will show that we have tested first hand these two very important aspects of the AEV and have made design decisions based on what we have tested to be the most efficient options.
