Revising Design 3 to Design 4:

We tested our AEV Design 3 using two motors against our AEV Design 4 using only one motor with the same code.  The plots for the runs are shown above.  We realized that using one motor at 50 percent power compared to using two motors at 30 percent power uses about the same amount of energy.  Although they use the same amount of energy, Design 4 traveled further before braking and coasted further after braking.  This data showed us that using one motor on a lightweight and streamline design is more efficient than using two.  Also, we hypothesized that our AEV will never actually be run at 50 percent power, so the amount of energy that Design 4 will use will be even lower than we calculated with this test.
