Lab 8 – Performance Test 1

About the Lab:

In Lab  08 – Performance Test 1 the group was tasked with designing two different AEV designs and testing these to determine which design had the better potential for completing the MCR and minimizing the energy used. The group developed a code to complete the MCR, the group used floating point variables to code in order to be able to change numbers in the code easily and maintain a flexible code. The group submitted the shell design to be 3D printed over break and is actively pursuing a response in regards to the status of the part.

Take-Aways:

The main takeaway from the lab was that the code will need to be revised, the external sensors will need to be checked and or replaced, and the 3D shell will need to be installed on the AEV in order for further testing to commence. The group will test without the part to allow faster testing once the part is printed.

Schedule/Team-Meeting Notes:

The team agreed to meet in Hitchcock’s First Year computer lab on 3/23/17. Knowing he would have work at this time, John completed the looking backwards section as well as worked on various other parts of the report the day prior. David and Kevin were busy, and unable to attend the meeting, but worked on the questions and touched up the report later in the day. Austin completed the looking forward section.
