Algorithm Draft

● Players place bets based on minimum and maximum allowed betting values
● Dealer shuffles the cards (around 3-4 decks of cards)
● After bets are placed, dealer deals one card face up to all players in a clockwise circle
and deals to themselves last
● The player deals a card to all players again. The cards are faceup for all players but the
dealer who has one card face up and one card facedown.
● If a player has an ace and a card with a value of ten to start the game (known as a
natural), but the dealer doesn’t, the player receives 1.5 times the amount of their original
bet. If the dealer has a natural he collects the bets of the players without naturals. If both
a player and the dealer have a natural, the player takes back his chips.
● If the dealer’s face up card is a card with a value of ten or an ace, then they look at their
facedown card to see if it makes a natural, otherwise they don’t check their face down
card until it is their turn.
● The game now goes in a clockwise order and players choose whether to stand (not take
another card to get as close to 21 as possible) or to hit and take a card to try to get as
close to 21 as possible. The players can ask for as many hits as they want but if they go
over 21, it is a bust.
● Aces can count as 1 or 11 in blackjack and the player gets to choose this.
● After all of the players have been served, the dealer turns his face down card upright, if
the total of the cards is 17 or over the dealer must stand and if it is 16 or under the
dealer must hit until their total reaches 17 or more.
● The round is now over and bets are collected.
