Conduct interview #1 with a potential user PRIOR to development

Q: What are some games you have played recently?

A: I’ve mostly just played Counter Strike Global Offensive and Among Us.

Q: What are some games you might enjoy playing on MATLAB?

A: I think that Hangman and black jack would probably be fun.

Q: In your opinion what is the optimal length a game should take to play?

A: In MATLABS, five minutes would probably be the most time I would want to spend in a round.

Q: What aspects of a game make it enjoyable to you to play?

A: I think that replay ability and interesting concepts make games the most enjoyable to play.

Q: Do you prefer games based on luck or games based on strategy?

A: A mix of both makes for the best experience.

Q: Do you like single player or multi-player games more?

A: Multi-player games are better.

 

Conduct interview #2 with a user after beta testing (must be different person than #1)

Q: What are some games you have played recently?

A: Minecraft, CS-GO, and Among Us.

Q: What are some games you might enjoy playing on MATLAB?

A: Black Jack, ,war, and Poker would probably be fun.

Q: In your opinion what is the optimal length a game should take to play?

A: A single player game on Matlab should probably take no more than 3 or 4 minutes.

Q: What aspects of a game make it enjoyable to you to play?

A: I like it to be somewhat challenging but not take forever to play and multiplayer games are pretty enjoyable.

Q: When playing this game, which aspects did you enjoy?

A: I like that it doesn’t take too long and it is more convenient than playing connect-4 with actual pieces.

Q: When playing this game, what changes would you recommend?

I would recommend you put messages to prompt the players into the game.
