The Quest For Chegg –

The objective of the game is to purchase a chegg subscription (An online homework help site) in order to save yourself from endless homework! In order to do this you must battle enemies to rack up enough gold! If you lose all of your health, then the game will end and we encourage you to try again!

Once you run the game there is an introduction and exposition scene that will play through for you automatically. When the scene ends you will be prompted “What is your name?” Once this happens simply type your desired player name and press enter.

As you progress through the game you will be asked for more input. Here is a list of each input option:

(y/n) = If you would like to answer “yes” type the letter “y” and press enter. If you would like to answer “no” type the letter “n” and press enter.

(l/r) = If you want to go left type the letter “l”  and press enter. If you want to go right type the letter “r” and press enter.

(1,2,3) = If you would like to choose any option type the number of the option and press enter.

Example: Pick up Zweihander, Scimitar, or Mace? (1,2,3): 1

You picked the Zweihander (Uncommon)

 

When you enter a battle sequence you will be prompted and you will have the following input option:

(a/d) = If you would like to attack type the letter “a” and press enter. If you would like to defend type the letter “d” and press enter.

The combat is turn based so after you choose your action the enemy will strike, dealing a random amount of damage from a range of numbers. The battle sequence will continue until you defeat the enemy or the enemy defeats you. Once you defeat an enemy they will drop a random amount of gold and in order to win the game you will need 50 gold. The starting health values of you and your enemies is below:

  • Player = 10 health
  • Guard 1 = 10 health
  • Guard 2 = 10 health
  • Goblin = 4 health
  • Bandit = 7 health

 

Connect Four –

The objective of the game is to get 4 of your colored pieces in a row.

The computer places first and from there you choose where to place your piece, which is done by clicking on a tile with the left mouse button.  The player and computer take turns placing their pieces until there are four of the same colors in a row.  A win is considered when you have four pieces in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
