Interviews
Interview #1
Interview of Jarrett EvansĀ (Engineering Student at OSU)
1. What are some games you have played recently?
“I’ve played a nice Scrabble on my iPad, [and] some Sudoku. Fortnite, of course. Nice Call of Duty. Those are some nice games. Smash Bros.” -Jarrett
2. What are some games you might enjoy playing on MATLAB?
“Definitely would enjoy some adventure games. I mean, you don’t see too many of those. Also chess, I enjoy chess. A nice chess game on a winter afternoon, depending on the weather.” -Jarrett
3. In your opinion what is the optimal length a game should take to play?
“As you know, as engineers, we don’t have that much time to enjoy, so a nice 5 – 10 minute game would be nice. 15 would be okay, but that’s kind of pushing it. 7 is the sweet spot. After 15, I mean, congrats, but I don’t want to sit here and just play it.” – Jarrett
4. What aspects of a game make it enjoyable to you to play?
“Definitely some strategy. I like using my brain because it’s so big. Graphics are nice; I like something visually appealing. Stimulate[s] my artistic side.” -Jarrett
