G. Conclusions and Recommendations

The project began with the writing of the code for a BlackJack interactive game and a text-based user-decision Star Wars adventure. The night before the in-class User Evaluations, the BlackJack code was successfully integrated into the Star Wars adventure and dialogue was rewritten to provide a more cohesive story. The final product is a Star Wars adventure that begins with a repeatable and skippable fully interactive BlackJack game with a fellow trooper in the barracks. Once the BlackJack game(s) conclude, the story will automatically pick back up in the command window, leading you to the in-game decisions that build your story. Three group members wrote the BlackJack code and corresponding user display, and one member wrote the text adventure. The two separate projects moved forward swimmingly, and with little to no problems came together into a single final project. Recommendations for future development include writing stand-alone story paths into the code that lead to separate endings and a real-time human hand that flips the cards in the sprite-based user display. A lore-based recommendation would be changing the BlackJack to a game of Pazaak, a similar Star Wars game with a limit of 20 instead of 21.
