Buckeye Trail is a fun game that people of all ages can play! The game will print a welcome statement that will prompt the user to input their name. Simply type your name on the keyboard and press the enter key to submit your name. The game will give the following general instructions “(Your inputted name), you are a new student at Ohio State and have the chance to win a contest for submitting a selfie with Brutus. The problem is, you have still have your normal school day activities to go through. Make decisions on how you will spend your day. Choose correctly and you will find Brutus and can take a photo for the contest. Good luck!” Throughout the game, you will be given choices of how you want to look for Brutus and spend your day at the Ohio State University. Before you input your decisions you will be prompted to enter a 0, 1, or 2. Type the number that corresponds to the decision you would like to make and press enter. A correct choice will be accompanied by a picture. For the first half of the game if the incorrect choice is made you will be prompted to rerun the code to play again. Halfway through the game, there is a checkpoint and any mistakes made after this point will prompt the checkpoint question to be asked again, providing you with extra chances to make the correct decisions. If you make all of the correct decisions the song “Hang On Sloopy” will play and the following congratulation statement will be presented: “You wait for the bus. As the doors open, you see that the bus driver is none other than Brutus Buckeye. Congratulations! You take your selfie and win the contest!!” Then you will be prompted to rerun the code if you wish to play the game again.
