G. Conclusions and Recommendations

The concluding final product was an overall success in terms of our initial vision for the project. The finished game contains many of the elements and design choices that were planned for, and it was very exciting to see all of that come to fruition. These ranged from the multiple difficulty settings and how they impacted monster movement, the large array of items and consumables, and of course the humorous messages to the user after death or refusal to consume an item. Yet, these were just a small portion of the ideas that were brought about during the development of this project. While the game did come out successful in the end, if the development team were allotted more time there could have been many more improvements made to the product. These improvements would have not only been style based, like aesthetic character/monster/level designs, but also on the functionality of the player and NPC’s (non player characters). With that said, some recommendations for future development would include creation of multiple NPC’s, an integrated cohesive story, as well as character voices and dynamic sounds. Others may also include more humanoid player models, with the addition of unique beastly designs for the monsters. While the game is well made and fun to play, these additions to the project would surely enhance both the gameplay, as well as the consumer’s hands on experience of the game.
