B. User Manual

Blackjack

Blackjack is a game about getting 21 points. The user is dealt two cards and then gets to choose to hit or stand. Hit means to get another card while stand means to keep the score and compare with the dealer. If the player starts the game with an Ace and either and 10 or any face card they get “Blackjack” and instantly win the game. Otherwise the player keeps hitting until they are satisfied with their score or they bust, going over 21 points, losing immediately. Otherwise choosing to stand once satisfactory points have been achieved will have the dealer flip over their cards and start to hit until they reach 17(Note: The dealer can get “Blackjack at this stage”). The game will display the winner and then ask if the user wants to play again.

Connect 4

The classic game of connect 4. This program is a two player only game which has the players take turns dropping a piece onto a 7×6 board in an attempt to get 4 pieces in a row. The first player will be prompted to enter a column number 1 – 7 and after the computer checks that there are not already 6 pieces in that column a piece of that player’s color will be placed into the column at the lowest open row. Then the program will ask the second player to enter a column number and will repeat check it did before and then place the second player’s piece in the lowest open row. The first player to get 4 in a row in either vertical, horizontal or in a diagonal direction wins! If neither player can get 4 in a row before the board is filled up with pieces then the game ends in a tie. The players can choose to play again by entering anything and they can choose to stop playing by entering the letter n by itself.
