A. Introduction

An interest in short tabletop and video games was seen in college students and instructors. Because first-year engineering students just finished learning MATLAB logic and programming, ENGR 1181 students were tasked with creating a MATLAB version of an easy-to-play video, card, or board game. Additionally, proper documentation alongside the program code was required to explain to the design process as well as the final product. The chosen game is a version of  “Hangman” in which the player must save Brutus from being hanged by that school up North. Documentation of this project includes project management, planning the program, explanation of the final code, and advertisements.
