Games are a lot of fun to play, but what’s even more fun is the ability to create any game that you want. There are many different types of games we play, such as sports, board games, video games, and card games. Nowadays, it is becoming a lot more common to play games on computers or video game consoles. So we at Team O+ have designed a series of games based on cards and words, to take gamers to an era where gaming meant something different. Programming such games can be a lot of work, depending on the complexity of the game at hand. We were tasked with the job of creating games for anyone to play. We could make any type of game from a given list, but we decided to make Blackjack, Hangman and War because these were the games we enjoyed the most as kids and we wanted players to feel the same excitement. The creation of these games was a long process. We began with creating flowcharts and writing down pseudocode for each game, and then completed the games from there, step by step. Each game had a varying difficulty from the perspective of coding, so each team member helped each other out when need be. In the end, we came up with 3 exciting, innovative and fun games that we are sure you will enjoy and are very proud of. In the end, making the game was challenging, but also very rewarding and fun.
