Conduct interview #1 with a potential user PRIOR to development:

Interviewee: Paul Bowman

1. What are some games you have played recently? 

          Mario on MATLAB, Fortnite, Overwatch, Red Dead Redemption 2

2. What are some games you might enjoy playing on MATLAB?

          Pac-Man, Red Dead Redemption 2, Connect 4, Tic-Tac-Toe, Minesweeper

3. In your opinion what is the optimal length a game should take to play?

          2-3 minutes

4. What aspects of a game make it enjoyable to you to play?

          Pictures, sound effects, fun factor, and winning, challenging!


Conduct interview #2 with a user after beta testing (must be different person than #1)

Interviewee: Rachel Warren

1. What are some games you have played recently?

          Haven’t played any games recently; watched people play Cube Escape, Don’t Starve and Plants vs Zombies

2. What are some games you might enjoy playing on MATLAB?

          Snake, immediate graphical interfacing games; not text based

3. In your opinion what is the optimal length a game should take to play?

          3 min for shorter games, 10-15 min for longer, adventure-type games

4. What aspects of a game make it enjoyable to you to play?

          Smooth interface, proper grammar, pop-ups/notifications, and pictures

5. When playing this game, which aspects did you enjoy?

          Kept money the first game

6. When playing this game, what changes would you recommend?

          Including wait functions to increase suspense. pop-ups (good/bad) , choosing to continue to play, winnings stored(?)
