  • Primary Means of Communications and Expectations

All team members are expected to read and respond to another teammate’s text/ email within 6 hours of receival. If the email/ text is sent after midnight, then the time period to read and respond is expanded to 12 hours. Expectations are that everyone does their share of the work in a timely manner. It should never be assumed that because one member does not finish work that a different member will do it for them.

  • Schedule of Meetings

During each class (lecture or lab) we will agree on a time to meet and finish our work. One member will volunteer/ be assigned the duty to message the group and reassure the other members of the time and location of the meetings. The initial message should be sent within 3 hours of the end of class. A second reminder should also be sent out, by the same person, 2-4 hours before the scheduled meeting. The person in charge of sending these reminders can rotate or be the same person if he volunteers for that position.

  • Respect each other and the teachers at all times

  • Specific Team Members Responsibilities/ Deadlines

-N/A at this time

  • Conflict Resolution

If there is a problem/ conflict in our group (over anything from negligence of responsibilities to direction of a project) the following steps should be followed until the problem is resolved.

  • Meet as a group to discuss the issue and try to find a solution to the problem
  • If the disagreement is in regard to the direction of a project, then the decision goes to a vote
    1. If the vote is a tie, then proceed to #3
  • If an agreement cannot be made, then the group will meet with the professor or GTA
  • If an agreement can still not be made, then the professor or GTA will be given the authority to make the final decision on behalf of the group

  • Expectation of Faculty and GTA’s

If one of the team members is unable or unwilling to follow this document after it has been agreed upon then he will be reported to the staff. After being reported, the team member who is not doing his work could face disciplinary action from the GTA. However, the group is still responsible to turn in all work in the time period given without exception. The staff should be available and willing to help the team resolve issues before they become out of control.
