Youth Loans Available to Fund FFA and 4-H Projects

Youth loans up to a maximum of $5000 are available to fund 4-H and FFA projects.

If you know a young person who is planning to expand the size and scope of their 4-H or FFA SAE project, this youth loan opportunity may be for them.

The Farm Service Agency (FSA), an agency of the United State Department of Agriculture, makes loans available to individual youth to establish and operate income-producing projects in connection with their participation in FFA and 4-H and other similar organizations. Cattlemen Host Successful 28th Banquet!

On Saturday, March 26th, more than 80 local Fairfield County cattlemen enjoyed their 28th annual Banquet. Market Beef Numbers Up for the 2016 Fairfield County Jr. Fair

On March 5, fifty one 4-H and FFA members weighed in a total of 70 beef feeder calves in preparation for the 2016 Fairfield County finished market beef show on October 11. Youth Beef Industry Day, March 6 in London

The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association and Weaver Leather are joining together to sponsor and host the Ohio Youth Beef Industry Day on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Youth Beef Industry Day is open to all youth and their families with an interest in cattle. The program will run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Eby Arena on the Madison County Fairgrounds.

Local Cattlemen to Award College Scholarships

Each year the Fairfield County Cattlemen’s Association awards college scholarships to at least one local high school senior, as well as a current college or technical school student. Applicants must be a high school senior or currently enrolled in a college/university, junior college, or vocational/technical school, and must be a resident of Fairfield County. He/she or his/her parent/guardian must have been a member of the Fairfield County Cattlemen’s Association during the year preceding the application.
