Get Involved!

At different times throughout the year we recruit hard working, enthusiastic, and dependable students who pay exceptional attention to detail and work well with others to serve as research assistants in our lab. We are no longer recruiting research assistants for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Research assistants may work on a variety of research projects in the lab examining individual differences in attitude formation and generalization, and their relation to politics, self-regulation, perception, and other phenomena of interest.

If you are interested in the work being conducted in our lab and you would like to gain research experience, apply to join our lab as a research assistant. The involvement of research assistants in our lab can either be on a volunteer basis or for course credit. These two options are treated equally in terms of time and effort commitments.

Research assistants will be involved in data collection, which entails running experimental sessions, as well as data coding and management. In the past, these responsibilities have also included conducting literature reviews, stimulus creation, experiment programming, and data analysis. Comprehensive training is provided for all tasks.

To apply, please fill out this form. Once you have done so, attach this form and an up-to-date resume or curriculum vitae to an email with the subject line, “Research Assistant Application.” Please address this email to Courtney Moore at moore.4041@osu.edu.
